Pure Keto Slim is a weight loss supplement designed to be used alongside the low-carb ketogenic diet. In fact, this product probably won’t do much for you if you aren’t doing keto.

It contains very few ingredients, but the ones it does have are proven to be useful on keto. This product is sold in bottles of 60 capsules, which is one month’s supply. The capsules are made from gelatin, which is made by rendering animal bones and skins. This means Pure Keto Slim is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

What are the Ingredients?

Some weight loss supplement designers have a “kitchen sink” approach to making their products – they throw everything in, hoping at least one of the ingredients will have a noticeable effect.

Pure Keto Slim is different in that it only contains one active ingredient – BHB. BHB is short for beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is a type of ketone. Your body can use ketones for energy. BHB ketones are the same chemical structure as those produced in your body during a low carb diet. This means Pure Keto Slim, despite the science-y sounding main ingredient, is a very natural weight loss product.

This product contains three different forms of BHB:

  1. Magnesium BHB
  2. Calcium BHB
  3. Sodium BHB

Each form digests at a different rate, which means this product provides your body with an immediate, medium, and long-lasting supply of ketones to keep your levels stable. Pure Keto Slim contains 800 grams per two capsule dose of these active ingredients, although the proprietary blend means we don’t know exactly how much of each one it contains.

Pure Keto Slim also has a few inactive ingredients, including magnesium stearate and gelatin. As mentioned above, gelatin is the material used to make the capsules. In contrast, magnesium stearate is an anti-caking agent that prevents the other ingredients from forming an indigestible pellet. While both of these inert ingredients are important, they don’t enhance weight loss in any way.

How does Pure Keto Slim work?

When you go Keto, you must cut your carb intake down to 50 grams or less per day. With no carbs to use for energy, your body has to burn more fat for fuel. However, fat is not a good source of energy for your muscles or brain, so your body turns fat into a substance called ketones. Ketones are a very useable source of energy and are produced by your liver.

Pure Keto Slim is an exogenous ketone supplement. That means it’s an external source of ketones. Taking exogenous ketones has several benefits to keto dieters, all of which are outlined in the next section. However, in simple terms, more ketones mean a better, more effective ketogenic diet.

Because Pure Keto Slim is supplied in capsules, it’s very easy and convenient to use. This is in stark contrast to exogenous ketone drinks, which have to be mixed with water. They are much less convenient to use and, despite names like berry burst and fruit zinger, don’t usually taste very good. There is no such issue with Pure Keto Slim capsules.

Benefits of Pure Keto Slim

The exogenous BHB ketones in Pure Keto Slim have several benefits to ketogenic dieters. Those benefits include:

Faster descent into ketosis – getting into ketosis takes time. It can be anywhere from a few days to two weeks before you are fully ketogenic and burning fat like a furnace. Exogenous ketones trick your body into producing ketones sooner than it would naturally. This will put you into ketosis earlier than you would if you relied on just your low-carb diet.

Less keto flu – weaning your body off carbs and onto ketones can cause a few unpleasant side effects, which dieters usually call the keto flu. Keto flu is neither dangerous or contagious, but it’s still not very nice and can make the first week or two of keto quite unenjoyable. Taking exogenous ketones can ease the symptoms of keto flu and may even prevent it entirely. The symptoms of keto flu include headaches, nausea, brain fog, stomach upsets, cramps, and insomnia, and less of that will undoubtedly be very welcome.

Faster fat loss – turning fat into ketones uses a lot of energy, and that helps you lose weight faster. Taking exogenous ketones tricks your body into producing even more ketones, and that means faster, easier fat loss.

More energy (1) – your body typically uses glucose for energy. Glucose comes from carbohydrates. With no carbs to use, ketones become the fuel of choice. Taking Pure Keto Slim provides your body with a secondary source of energy, which will be very welcome during your diet, especially if you exercise. Ketones are a great source of energy for exercisers.

More energy (2) – it’s not just your muscles that usually run on glucose; your brain does too. However, your brain can also run on ketones. Ketones pass easily through the blood-brain barrier, and some people find that they feel much sharper and more alert when they use exogenous ketones. That’s because, unlike blood glucose levels, ketone levels tend to remain very stable. With fewer energy fluctuations, you should find that your mental energy is much more stable too, and less prone to dips and peaks.

Less hunger and fewer cravings – dieting for weight loss is seldom easy. Eating less means you’ll probably feel hungry. Giving up your favorite foods can cause cravings. If your hunger or cravings get bad enough, you may be tempted to quit your diet, undoing whatever progress you’ve made. Taking Pure Keto Slim can help prevent both hunger and cravings. With less temptation to face, you’ll find sticking to your diet a whole lot easier.

How to use it Properly

Pure Keto Slim is very simple and straightforward to use. According to the manufacturer, you should take two capsules once per day. There are no recommendations as to when you should take this supplement, and because it contains no caffeine or other stimulants, you should be able to take it at bedtime without disrupting your sleep. However, to maximize fat burning, some users suggest taking this supplement first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This will get your keto dieting day off to the best possible start.

Side Effects

The exogenous ketones in Pure Keto Slim are entirely natural. They are identical to the substances your body produces as a response to cutting carbs from your diet. Because of this, the risk of side effects is very low. That said, a small number of users may experience unwanted side effects. In most cases, these issues should vanish on their own after five to seven days. If they do not, reduce your dose to just one capsule per day.

Possible side effects include:

  • Increased urine output and dehydration
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Muscle cramps
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Palpations

Bottom Line

If you want to lose weight faster, experience fewer keto flu symptoms, or boost your energy on your low carb diet, Pure Keto Slim may help. This product lives up to its name – it’s a very pure exogenous ketone product. Unlike a lot of weight loss supplements, this product does one thing really well instead of lots of different things badly. It’s designed to boost your ketone levels – and that’s it!

Of course, this product isn’t a weight-loss miracle and will only work if you stay true to the ketogenic diet. That means eating less than 50 grams of carbs per day, getting about 30% of your calories from protein, and filling up on healthy fats. Unlike stim-based fat burners, Pure Keto Slim will only work for ketogenic dieters.

That said, if you are looking for a supplement that will make every aspect of the keto diet more comfortable, more productive, and easier, Pure Keto Slim could be just what you are looking for. It’s simple to use, won’t break the bank, and contains nothing but natural, proven ingredients.

With all that being said the reviews show that a lot of people are not completely satisfied with this product. As such we recommend the more popular and arguably better product Perfect Keto.

If you are looking for that boost to getting to ketosis faster and smoother we highly recommend checking out our review of Perfect Keto.
