    • Keto French Toast

Going keto usually means giving up breakfast and brunch favorites like cereals, English muffins, pancakes, and French toast. Sure, you CAN eat as many eggs and as much bacon as you like on keto, but sometimes it’s nice to eat something special – especially at weekends.

This recipe for keto French toast doesn’t contain any diet-wrecking bread, so you can eat it without guilt or derailing your diet. Better still, it’s very quick and easy to make.

Whether you’re treating yourself to a lazy weekend brunch or an indulgent breakfast, you’ll love this recipe for keto French toast.

Keto French Toast

Ingredients for Four Servings

Keto Bread

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

French Toast Batter

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Grease a glass dish with butter.
  2. Combine all the dry keto bread ingredients in the bowl.
  3. Add an egg and stir in the cream. Whisk to make your bread dough.
  4. Microwave on high for two minutes or until the bread is firm in the middle. Cook for another 15-30 seconds if necessary. Allow to cool and then cut into two slices.
  5. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, and cinnamon with the salt.
  6. Pour this mixture over the bread slices, turning them over so they absorb as much of the mixture as possible.
  7. Heat the remaining butter in a frying pan and cook the French toast until browned on both sides.
  8. Serve immediately with sugar-free maple syrup.

Bottom Line

Keto French toast is easy to make, diet-friendly, and delicious. Not only that, it contains several ingredients that are actually good for you!

A lot of people think that the ketogenic diet is boring. They believe that all you get to eat is meat, eggs, nuts, and leafy green vegetables. While you COULD do keto like that, you definitely don’t have to.

Make your diet easier to stick to by including some keto-friendly versions of your favorite foods in your menu. Going keto DOES mean cutting down on carbs, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your meals.

As this recipe for keto French toast proves, the low-carb ketogenic diet doesn’t have to be dull!
