When you want a snack on keto, most dieters end up reaching for things like beef jerky, nuts, or vegetable sticks. These keto staples are so low in carbs you can eat them in abundance without derailing your diet.

But what if you’ve got a craving for potato chips?

While you can’t eat things like corn, wheat, or potato chips on keto, you can make something that’s very similar. In fact, once you’ve tried these keto cheese chips, you’ll never want to eat regular chips again.

Made from just two ingredients, 100% keto-friendly, and very easy to put together, this is the perfect low-carb snack.

Keto Cheese Chips

Ingredients for Four Servings

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • ½ teaspoon paprika powder

Instructions

  1. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 205 degrees centigrade.
  2. Using a spoon, make 12 small piles of cheese on your prepared baking tray. Make sure none of the piles are touching.
  3. Sprinkle each pile with a little of the paprika.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Take care not to burn the cheese; otherwise, they won’t taste as good.
  5. Allow to cool and then eat as they are or with a keto-friendly dip, such as guacamole.

Nutrition Per Serving (three chips)

  • 258 calories
  • 19 grams of fat
  • 13 grams of protein
  • 2 grams of carbs
  • 0 grams of fiber
  • 2 grams of net carbs

Bottom Line

This simple recipe is super-tasty and so low in carbs you could eat the entire batch without derailing ketosis. They’re perfect for those times when you are craving chips but don’t want to give in and eat carbs.

This is also an easy recipe to modify. You can use different cheeses, such as American cheese, parmesan, or gouda, and different herbs and spices to suit your mood. Add some bacon chips for a really savory, indulgent snack.

Keto is great for weight loss but does mean giving up a lot of the foods you love. That said, if you are prepared to think laterally and make your own meals and snacks, there are plenty of delicious things you can eat instead.

Boring keto? Just say no!
