The keto diet is the fastest, easiest, and tastiest weight loss diet. On keto, you get to eat almost unlimited amounts of delicious proteins and healthy fats, all of which are really filling. In return, you’ll lose weight faster than you ever thought possible.

Unfortunately, initially at least, you may suffer some keto diet side effects, which a lot of people call the keto flu. The good news is that there are supplements that can make keto flu much more manageable. In this Keto Blast Review, we’re going to lift the lid on one of these products so you can see if it’s the right one for you.

This type of ketogenic diet aid is not just useful for saving you from keto flu, either. They also increase fat burning, so you lose even more weight more quickly. While you can definitely do keto without supplements, you’ll find that things go much more smoothly if you use something like Keto Blast.

So, does this supplement deliver on its promise to make your keto diet easier and better? Let’s take a look!

Keto Blast is a natural weight loss supplement designed to be used alongside a low-carb ketogenic diet. In fact, if you aren’t doing keto, this product probably won’t do much for you.

Its main ingredient is Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB for short), which is a type of naturally occurring ketone that your body makes and uses for energy when you reduce your carb intake to 50 grams or less per day. Taking exogenous ketones, which is what supplemental ketones are correctly called, increases the ketone levels in your body, and that has several benefits for keto dieters, not least faster fat burning and more energy.

Keto Blast comes in bottles of 60 capsules, which is a one-month supply. The formula is lactose and gluten-free but is packaged in gelatin capsules, so it’s not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

What are the ingredients?

The only ingredient in Keto Blast is BHB ketones, of which there are three types:

  • Calcium BHB
  • Sodium BHB
  • Potassium BHB

There isn’t really a great deal of difference between these ketones other than they act at slightly differing rates, which means they provide you with long-term, medium-term, and long-term energy. That’s good news because it means you only need to take this product twice per day,

This ingredient list does look short, but in many ways, it’s a good thing. Where some exogenous ketone products contain more ingredients, it’s often hard to identify which one (if any of them!) is working. With Keto Blast, you’re getting 100% exogenous ketone salts, so you know exactly what you are taking and why.

How to use Keto Blast correctly

Some exogenous ketone supplements have to be mixed with water and made into drinks. This is not one of them! With Keto Blast, you just take one capsule twice a day with water. The manufacturers state that it should be used “between meals,” which is somewhat vague. We suggest taking one capsule every 12 hours to keep your ketone levels stable. This should also coincide with in between mealtimes.

Benefits of Keto Blast

Exogenous ketone products like Keto Blast offer several benefits, including:

Faster descent into ketosis – cutting carbs from your diet puts you into a state called ketosis. This is when your body uses ketones for energy. Ketones are made from fat. The sooner you get into ketosis, the faster you’ll make the switch to burning lots of stored body fat. Taking exogenous ketones is one effective way to speed up your descent into ketosis.

Shorter, less severe keto flu – after cutting carbs from your diet, your body has no choice but to burn more fat for fuel. However, it can’t use fat for everything, and it has to convert some fat into a more useable source of energy; ketones.

It takes a while for ketone production to fully kick in – 5-14 days – and during that time, you may suffer a sort of carb withdrawal, which is often called the keto flu. The symptoms of keto flu include low energy, headaches, cramps, stomach upsets, and dehydration.

Exogenous ketones provide your body with ketones before it starts making its own. This will help alleviate the symptoms of keto flu, making the first 1-2 weeks of your diet much more comfortable.

More energy – your body uses ketones for energy instead of carbs. While your body produces ketones naturally, taking exogenous ketones will give you even more energy so you won’t feel lethargic. That’s especially beneficial if you like to exercise as, at the start, some keto dieters report that they don’t feel like working out. Get the most from this benefit by taking one of your Keto Blast doses 30-minutes before exercising.

Better concentration and less brain fog – your brain runs very well on ketones. In fact, it works better on ketones than it does carbohydrates. When you eat carbs, your blood glucose levels tend to rise and fall, which will affect your mood and ability to concentrate. Ketone levels are much more stable.

Exogenous ketones can cross the blood-brain barrier, which means they provide a readily available source of energy for your grey matter. The exogenous ketones in Keto Blast should help you stay focused and prevent the dreaded brain fog that is often associated with the early stages of the keto diet.

Faster fat loss – taking exogenous ketones increases fat burning. When you take Keto Blast, it encourages your body to raise its own ketone levels, which it does by burning even more fat. Exogenous ketones trick your body into increasing ketone production and fat burning. Needless to say, anything that enhances fat burning on a weight loss diet is very welcome.

How does it taste?

Exogenous ketones don’t normally taste very good. They are mineral salts and have a very salty, bitter taste. Even the best exogenous ketone drinks have an unpleasant flavor and aftertaste. This is one of the worst things about exogenous ketone supplements.

However, Keto Blast is supplied in easy to swallow capsules, which means there is no aftertaste to worry about. Just pop one in your mouth and wash it down with water, no mess, and no fuss.

Potential side effects and dangers of Keto Blast

Keto Blast is a natural product. Your body makes ketones, so you are merely topping up what is already there. Subsequently, exogenous ketones are safe to use and have very few side effects and dangers.

Most of the side effects linked to exogenous ketones are actually due to following a ketogenic diet and include:

  • Sugar cravings
  • Dizziness
  • Weakness
  • Frequent urination
  • Constipation

While Keto Blast may magnify some of these side effects, it will also help reduce their duration, making your keto diet experience much more comfortable. However, if you are unsure whether exogenous ketones are right for you, make sure you speak to your doctor before using it.

Bottom Line

Keto Blast makes taking exogenous ketones very easy. With just two capsules per day, you can carry this product with you, so you never miss a dose. And with no aftertaste to worry about, you won’t start looking for excuses not to use it.

The main disadvantage of this product is that it contains relatively small amounts of the active ingredient – BHB ketones. Ketone drinks contain 5-10 grams of ketones per serving, whereas this product only provides a very small 200mg dose per capsule. While the exogenous ketones in Keto Blast are pure, this still means that you aren’t getting a lot of the active ingredient, and that will reduce its effectiveness.

That said, Keto Blast can still reduce the duration and severity of the keto flu, while increasing fat burning and weight loss. However, its effects are quite subtle and, if you need a bigger ketone hit, you may prefer to use a higher-dosed product, such as an exogenous ketone drink.

With all that being said the reviews show that a lot of people are not completely satisfied with this product. As such we recommend the more popular and arguably better product Perfect Keto.

If you are looking for that boost to getting to ketosis faster and smoother we highly recommend checking out our review of Perfect Keto.
